Recap
In the spirit of Halloween, we hosted our October meeting via zoom with the incentive of a candy drive-thru. Our business portion of the meeting consisted of recapping events, such as the successful Section Leadership Night hosted by the Merced-Mariposa section in which our members of the Merced FFA and Merced-Mariposa section got to be a part of. Our tri-tip drive-thru was also a major success and we appreciated those who bought a meal, including announcing the live victory of the Ag students in Advisors vs Students hosted every Friday, via zoom, playing trivia on unique themes on Kahoot. Then, we recognized our Cotton Evaluation team who competed on October 3rd for the first time, placing 5th High Team and Cody Martinez coming in at 10th place for Highest Individual. We also didn’t forget to mention the continuous support of our members for our Be The Future podcast, hosted by our chapter president, Sarah Sanchez, where we inform our chapter and community of chapter events and agricultural knowledge. For our drive-thru portion of the meeting, we decorated the back of our Ag department as a Halloween theme for our members to be welcomed by our “spooky spirit.” All those who were there in person to help set-up the drive-thru and those members who attended by car, abided COVID-19 protocol, enjoying the Halloween atmosphere safely including their candy goodie-bag.
